Durch die Lage auf der südlichen Halbkugel bietet [[Südafrika]] zudem erstklassige Bedingungen im Winter. [[Südafrika]] liegt von September bis Mai im Bereich ausgedehnter Hochdruckgebiete. Wenn dann in Kapstadt über dem Tafelberg die Wolken hängen, während ringsherum blauer Himmel strahlt, dann kündigt sich der berühmte "[[Cape Doctor]]" aus Süd bis Südost an, der zwischen 6 und 10 Bft stark werden kann, und weltklasse Wavebedingungen in [[Scarborough]] oder [[Platboom]] mit sich bringt - wer also über Sylvester mal wieder auf´s Wasser will, der ist hier richtig aufgehoben! Aber vergesst nicht den Neopren, denn das Wasser ist ganzjährig empfindlich kalt.<br />
