Das Ionische Meer als südlicher Teil der Adria liegt nicht mehr im Einflussbereich des [[Meltemi]], bietet dafür aber im Hochsommer [[Mistral]]-ähnliche Winde aus Nordwest mit nicht weniger Zuverlässigkeit. Die bekanntesten Spots am Ionischen Meer befinden sich auf der Insel Lefkada (oder auch Lefkas).<br />
